Front Flats PV production

It’s been a scorching week on the east coast, and with this #heatwave comes real stress on our electrical infrastructure.  Photovoltaic systems provide some relief, particularly during periods of high electrical demand. In the case of our Philadelphia project Front Flats, the PV not only complements the high performance envelope and mechanical systems, which drastically reduce energy consumption, but it also provides some serious shading.  We’re keeping tabs on the building’s PV performance, and so far during the month of June, the PV is covering nearly 94% of the building’s overall usage.
