Parade Street Commons East is a proposal for an Affordable Housing Development in Erie, PA. Designed to meet the stringent Passive House standard, the project is comprised of:

• 25 three-bedroom and 7 two-bedroom townhomes

• 6 three-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom ADA flats

In addition, there is a Community Building, playground and community garden. The site is arranged to fit with the neighboring context, while maximizing southern exposure for passive and active solar design, and to provide off-street parking. A significant design challenge was a large underground telecommunications easement that runs diagonally through the site. The buildings were designed to be manufactured in a modular factory to minimize construction time.
