Bottle Flats is an addition/renovation, converting a soda-water bottling and distribution building in Northern Liberties, into a mixed-use, commercial, residential condominium. While the existing structure had no real historic value, our proposal nevertheless looked to extract the character of the existing brick façade and stitch it together with modern but rugged materials. The L-shaped site provided a number of challenges to bring natural light to the new residential units, and was achieved through strategically placed recessed courts.
